My friend Shane is a phenomenal writer and has a new novella coming out real soon. Tabula Rasa is this rad sci-fi vampire hunter story, and is being released as a double-feature with a story from another indie writer, Anthony Mathenia.

To make it happen, they’ve opened up a Kickstarter to fund the project, with some cool rewards like a signed copy of the split book, art prints, other books from either of them, and drinking/screaming on webcam. It would mean a lot to them (and myself) if you’d at least check out the campaign and consider pledging something. You can visit by clicking on the book cover, or right here.

I took a 7 week coast to coast road trip after being laid off from Boeing. I didn’t have a camper but realized that being able to pull off the road at a rest or truck stop was the way to go to make the trip affordable. With a few sheets of 1/2” plywood and misc. hardware this is what I came up with. The effort was well worth the time and materials.

Did you lose any support when you came out as a nonchristian? I ask because I've recently denounced the religion that I've been art of, but I'm scared to announce it publicly.

Yes, I lost a large chunk of my readership. It doesn’t bother me. I know this is frank, but I’d rather not have “small” people supporting me. Give me intellectually honest folks over crazed religionists any day.
